Gate Valves
With a GATE VALVE, flow control is achieved by sliding a suitably shaped gate into the path of the fluid.
Gate valves are designed for use in straight-through and otherwise unobstructed passageways where the requirement is for simple full-on, full-off flow control. When fully open, flow through the valve is unimpeded, resulting in minimal turbulence and pressure drop.
There are options in the design and construction of gate valve seats and wedges to accommodate different thermal environments or frequent maintenance requirements.

EXPANDING GATE VALVES
M & J Featured Gate Valve
The Model EG valve from M&J Valves provides a superior bi-directional mechanical seal because the two-piece gate assembly expands against the seating areas in the open or closed position. The greater the torque, the tighter the seal. The end result is an extremely heat resistant seal that is unaffected by line pressure or vibration.
